PEP welcomes Penn State alumnus Josh Wentz to our Mechanical Engineering group.
A LEED® Green Associate and Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Josh holds two degrees from Penn State University: BAE in Architectural Engineering and BS in Information Sciences & Technology. He also earned a minor in Architecture Studies at the Pantheon Institute in Rome. At Penn State the Pittsburgh native was national student president of the Architectural Engineering Institute and co-founded the Student Society of Architectural Engineers Mentor Programon campus. Josh’s research interests focus on building information modeling, energy management & modeling, and building automation & controls. Through research, he developed VirtualPULSE. a web application that simulates building energy and airflow online. At PEP Josh works closely with the Mechanical Engineering and Clean Technology teams on a range of new construction projects in the U.S. and overseas. He is also working with the Building Controls and Electrical Engineering teams to explore the interface of building controls and the smart grid in South Korea.
A sports enthusiast, Josh saves some of his energy for athletic activities, from golf and soccer to skiing, wake-boarding and mountain biking.
